Community Action Hires Dr. Lenny Howard as New Director of Youth Development Services

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND – The Community Action Agency of Anne Arundel County is pleased to announce that Lenny Howard, Ed.D, has been appointed as the Agency’s Director of Youth Development Services.
Dr. Howard joins the Agency bringing vast experience helping youth and young adults achieve academic goals, learn coping strategies for social and emotional management, build life skills, and foster character development. He has served as a school counselor and principal, executive coach and mental health counselor, and has been a college administrator and professor.

Community Action Announces New Satellite Locations

Community Action is partnering with local agencies and organizations to offer services in communities where residents often have barriers to reaching the Agency’s headquarters in Annapolis and the North County location in Glen Burnie.

Annapolis, Maryland, December 15, 2017 – The Community Action Agency of Anne Arundel County, Inc. is hosting its 21st Annual Harriett Pratt Gifts of Love at The Annapolis Waterfront Hotel on Wednesday, December 20th beginning at 5 p.m. This annual event will benefit 140 low-income children from Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.

Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency Appoints New Interim CEO

ANNAPOLIS – The Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency, Inc. Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Dr. Charlestine R. Fairley as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Agency.
Dr. Fairley joins the agency after a more than 30 year career as a leader in higher education administration. Her career has included serving as an award-winning Dean with extensive administrative experience within institutions of higher education, secondary school systems, federal government agencies, community groups, international organizations, and nonprofit entities. She has been widely recognized for her service to the Anne Arundel County community as well as others where she has resided.
