For over 50 years, the Community Action Agency has depended on the generosity of local businesses and individuals to help us serve low-income Anne Arundel County households in crisis.  We appreciate those who contribute to help those less fortunate in our community.  Community Action needs donations throughout the year as we serve people through our six program areas:  Asset Building (Energy and Housing Assistance), Early Head Start, Health and Wellness Initiative, Returning Citizens, and Youth Development Services.

For more information about the Agency’s Fund Development activities, please contact Julie Snyder, Director of Development and Community Engagement, at jsnyder@aaccaa.org or 410.626.1900 x1026.

December 21, 2022

Gifts of Love is a holiday party hosted by Community Action Agency’s Youth Development Services Partnership that provides over 100 homeless and low-income Anne Arundel County children with dinner, presents and festivities. This event is made possible with generous contributions from the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel, Pussers Caribbean Grill and community partners, businesses, and donors who are committed to ensuring that children who are most in need receive gifts during the holiday season.

Walk 4 Warmth

Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to participate in the Community Action Agency's Walk4Warmth on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The walkathon is taking place at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center, located at 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis, Maryland. The Agency's inaugural walkathon is to raise funds to primarily support two of our program areas:  Energy Assistance and Housing Assistance & Services.  Community Action believes every household in Anne Arundel County deserves to live in a warm, safe home!

With Halloween right around the corner, we welcome children and adults who wear costumes to celebrate the season!  We will have a crafts table & food trucks on hand with a portion of the proceeds supporting Community Action.

Pay to walk or collect pledges from your circle of family, friends, and colleagues.  Your choice!  We even have a couch potato entry for those who can't make it to the event but would like to support the cause.  All participants who donate or raise $50 or more will receive an event t-shirt!
