Deneice Fisher & Louisa Matthews (l-r), both Community Action Agency Board Members, pose with Deneice’s neice, Cierra Fisher, during St. Anne’s Tea & Crumpet-Fashion Show – an event that raises funds to support the Head Start Summer Program at O’Bery Court. Louisa Matthews chairs this event.

Thanks to St. Anne’s Parish, the children enjoyed the O’Bery Court Summer Program at Annapolis Gardens Head Start. Bob Wickizer, Acting Rector for St. Anne’s, applauded Louisa Matthews, Chair of the Spring Festival which raises the $8,000 to run the Summer Program. Wickizer says, “Louisa’s role, not only in raising funds for a much needed enrichment program but in raising community awareness, is exemplary.

St. Anne’s now sends more volunteers into our neighboring Clay Street community where O’Bery Court is located. Even people who never attend church are now either donating funds or volunteering their time to work in the Clay Street Community. This is an example of local outreach at its best.”

Dr. Sung & Denise Lulay from the Anne Arundel County Health Department, make their annual visit to Meade Village and the other Head Start Centers to provide the children with comprehensive dental exams.
